WBPSC Miscellaneous Recruitment 2023: Selection Process

The WBPSC Miscellaneous Recruitment 2023 Selection Process is a multi-stage procedure designed to identify and select candidates for various posts under this recruitment drive. Here’s an overview of the selection process.

  • Preliminary Exam ( 200 Marks)
  • Main Exam ( 450 Marks)
  • Interview (100 Marks)

The first stage is the Preliminary Examination, which consists of an objective-type paper. This paper assesses candidates on topics such as General Knowledge and Arithmetic. It serves as a screening test to shortlist candidates for the next stage.

Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Examination proceed to the Main Examination. This stage consists of multiple papers, each focusing on different subjects. The Main Examination is designed to assess candidates’ knowledge in more detail and their ability to analyze and comprehend various topics.

Those who perform well in the Main Examination are then called for a Personality Test or Interview. This stage assesses candidates on their personality traits, communication skills, and overall suitability for the job.

For success in competitive exams, GK Questions are a major problem at present, the syllabus included in almost all the employment examinations at the central level including the state has undergone a change in the type of questions, i.e. all the examination papers have been changed to multiple choice questions answers form. In order to achieve success in the examination, students have to follow the right path of study and practice in order to answer the question paper correctly. Because multiple answers to any question in the examination center create great confusion for the examinees to answer correctly.
